Before heading off in the morning I met Sandy Campbell the previous night and here is a picture of the two of us...

Today I was heading off to Toronto to give a talk to folk from the Scottish Studies Foundation and other invited guests after which I would be moving in with Nola Crewe and her husband Harold for a couple of weeks.

And all this was us driving into Toronto

There is a mix of both new and old buildings

And these were just some of the folk that turned up to hear me speak and on the left picture are Marie and Neil Fraser who as you will know do contribute some regular articles to the site

And this was the pub we were in for the talk and where in the winter they usually meet every two weeks.

As we had a couple of hours to kill before heading for Nola's house Alan took me on a wee tour of the financial center of Toronto

And underneath all those buildings is another city under it all with shopping malls and food stalls

And we were now heading for Nola's house

This is Harold with one of their pets and another new puppy

More dogs and more family!

And more children and grandchildren :-)

And you may note this is a big family with children, grand-children and lots of dogs/ And this last picture is of Nola desperately trying to open the case of diet coca cola :-)
