I've been getting myself organised for going to the Scottish Weekend which is next Friday and I'll be flying down from Charleston airport, West Virginia to Tallahassee airport in Florida where I'll be picked up.

This was a week of storms, heavy rain, sleet and some snow.  We even had three power cuts yesterday. One was of some 4 hours duration and then another two shorter ones. Mind you the first started at around 2.30 just as I was thinking of finishing my book and getting to sleep so that wasn't bad. Mind you as I didn't switch the light off it woke me up when the electricity came back on.  I got back to sleep and the other two took place while I was sleeping so when I got up all was back to normal.

Three of the cats adopted my bed and Bandito posed for the camera

Deb hiding behind her hair and cats playing with their toy

The burn was flowing well with all the rain we were having

Wee characters that greet you as you come into the house

Got some interesting contacts this week and once of them has suggested they send over a Scottish Food Hamper which I've accepted.  We intend to have a Scottish Evening where friends and family can come over to sample the culinary delights and we'll take loads of photographs of the tastings :-)  Mind you what I wouldn't give for a real Scottish breakfast... black pudding, clootie dumpling, real Scottish Plain bread, sliced sausage, haggis, etc.  [Yum!].
