Kentucky Journal
January 24th

Sunday was a kind of lazy day where I mostly sat and read a book but there were interesting distractions such as Steve deciding to shave all the hair of his head, Laura coming down for a haircut and watching the antics of the cats towards her wee puppy.  Deb was also very active doing a major clean up with hoovering and moping floors so the cats and I made ourselves scarce :-)

Steve was to have gone down to a community meeting where they are concerned that they may lose their local fire brigade.  Given there is one further down on the main four lane it would still take 15 minutes to get up the hollow so they really want their own local fire station back in action.  Mind you he didn't actually manage it... Steve asked to be wakened at 2.30pm for the 3pm meeting and when woke by Deb... "give me another 10 minutes".  Deb woke him again at 2:40pm... "give me another 10 minutes". Deb woke him again at 2.60pm... "give me another 10 minutes". At that point Deb gave up and at time of writing this 7.05pm local time he's still fast asleep.  Just like Hercules when he cut his hair he obviously lost all his strength! :-)

Not easy to snap the shy boy without his hair :-)

This is Laura getting her hair cut.  I particularly liked the one above left with Tig's eyes glowing as he watches all the hair coming off :-)

Ooops.. just a bit too much off on that side Deb!  Bandito and Tig giving a wary distance to the wee puppy

And this is Dip looking relaxed until the puppy wanted to play!

And a mini Movie of the hair cutting.
