Alastair's Kilt Fitting

Well Monday 18th August was the day for me to order up my Kilt outfits and where else should I go but House of Tartan in Comrie :-)

Outside the shop you first notice the plaque on the wall...

and then the shop window...

Once in the shop I spotted the lads...

Both working away hard :-)

Then just before we got talking a real character came into the shop who lives in the hills nearby and started to give us a song...

and he was very good and wish I could have recorded his song for you.

So after that it was down to getting fitted for my kilt...

This is the High Waist measurement

And then around the bottom

Blair was doing a grand job so far :-)

Ranald McIntyre was amusing himself watching the computer screen and taking these photographs...

Had to select the tartan of course and I picked the McIntyre Hunting Ancient
for casual wear and McIntyre Ancient Modern for formal dress.

Then it was down to picking out the Skean Dhu, Kilt Pin, and of course Sporran!

Err.. I think this Jacket is a bit small Blair!

Thought I'd better check the Sporran belt was the right size!

And so that was me getting my kilt outfits.  I now just need to go back on the 17th of September to see if it all fits... mind you is this the time to be thinking of going on a diet?
